I think I might do an ' Albin ' if ever I am in contention again !

Following consultation with , and assistance from , Phil , Andy and JA we have landed on the following arrangements for DDDD 2025 .

1. DATES

The trip will be from Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20 September 2025 - we are limited to 20 people due to tee off availability. This email is only currently being sent to those who attended the Dish this year.

2. LOCATION

- Wednesday 17th : Mottram Hall, Cheshire . Golf in the afternoon , dinner B&B at the hotel on the golf course. First tee time 13.00.
- Thursday 18th : drive up to West Lancs and play that course on Thursday ( many thanks to JA for his significant help to get us onto this track ) . First tee time 11.30.
- Thursday 18th / Friday 19th : stay at The Waterfront Hotel in Southport , and have dinner in Southport restaurants on both nights
- Friday 19th : play at Hesketh GC in Southport . First tee time 11.10am.
- Saturday 20th : return home

3. APPROXIMATE COSTS

- Mottram : £130 for a shared room and £180 single occupancy to include golf, dinner and B&B
- West Lancs golf : £175 a head including sandwiches after the golf , but this is TBC and could be a touch more. Full price is £225 but we have JA playing FOC as a member , and 3 guests at £30 a head . The £175 is based on 19 paying players , and allowing for a discount JA is hoping to negotiate. It is a top golf course.
- Waterfront Hotel : £115 single occupancy , £80 sharing per night for B&B
- Hesketh GC : £90 a head including sandwiches after the golf .
- all costs are excluding drinks each night , and evening meals Thursday and Friday.
- total approximate costs on this basis are
: shared room £675
: single room £555
: drinks over 3 days , and 2 evening meals , say £150 - £200
- It does become an expensive trip compared to 2024 , but the golf courses were cheap in the North East , golf at Hallamshire was heavily subsidised and there were minimal accommodation costs on the Wednesday in Sheffield .

4. ACTION

- please let me know your preference about shared or single occupancy at each hotel . I have booked 14 single and 3 twin rooms at each hotel , but there is flexibility at this stage to change this .

- if we are over subscribed we will go on a first come first served basis . If we are undersubscribed we will extend the invitation to those who did not attend this year.

- if you are unable / do not wish to attend please let me know.
